My son has been been riding a pedal bike without training wheels since he was three. He has a Honda PW50. We have a helmet and riding pants although the riding pants are getting small as well as elbow pads and shin guards. At this point he is not out riding on trails mostly around the dirt and gravel parking lot or fields. He wore down the rubber on a pair of boots this last weekend they were not riding boots.

When I am out on my mountain bike for longer rides (10km+) my hands start to get numb and I have to keep changing positions or shake them out. I have cycling gloves already but they don’t seem to help. Any advice on how I can avoid this?
The gloves are for comfort, not temperature.

Very erratic sometimes I do sometimes i do not.
I am almost always the last of the group
It takes me a long time to recover from a ride.
I am under 30 years of age
I have a good weight for my height.
The bike is not a problem it is me.

I want to take my 8 year old son to ride a motor bike for the day, just for fun. Is there any place where they rent out dirt bikes for little guys with no experience and show them how to ride in a safe environment. If you have address or name of the place that’d be great.

I have been going to ride a bike at the local center, and in 35 minutes, I usually do 6 miles, + or - a tenth or 2, and it shows that burns less than 200 calories. I do not know the speed I was riding on the bike at the center, because it showed in “levels” instead of mph. I bought a new exercise bike, and rode it for the first time this morning. I rode it 30 minutes, at about an average of 22mph, and a distance of 11.5 miles, and it showed I burned 500 calories. Does that seem realistic? I wouldn’t think there would be that much of a difference in the calculations of the 2 bikes. I can tell there is a difference in the difficulty of the 2 bikes, and it seems that I pedal this one a little faster, but it still seems a little harder. The bikes are both dual action, where you pump the handles back and forth while you pedal. Thanks.
